Dear Valued Clients, Industry Partners and Staff,

Due to the rapidly growing concerns surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak and the County of Monterey’s extended Shelter-in-Place Order, we have temporarily closed our office until Monday, May 4th, 2020, but may further delay re-opening as needed.  The decision to temporarily close our office was not an easy decision but given the age group of our clients and additional health issues they may face; I believe it was the right one.  My goal is to safeguard both our staff and client’s physical and emotional health.

I have taken steps to allow staff to work from home and I am encouraging them to advance their education with online coursework.  Staff is also willing to assist in emergency home visits on a case-by-case basis.  The Board of Directors and I are asking for your patience as we navigate this unprecedented situation. We are all in this together and are learning as we go.

If you had a previously scheduled appointment for the month of April, staff will be in contact with you.  I am closely monitoring the CDC and Monterey County Health Department’s recommendations, and we will re-evaluate the situation on Friday, May 1st, 2020.

Effective on March 30:

  1. Staff will not be attending any events or off-site meetings.
  2. We will suspend close-proximity activities such as site visits, support groups, classes and will evaluate emergency home visits on a case-by-case basis.
  3. We will follow the guidelines provided by CDC, County and State Health Officials.
  4. We will practice “social distancing” in all circumstances.

We have tremendous gratitude for our business relationship with you and will do everything possible to keep our clients living an independent and fulfilling life.

That said, at this moment in our nation’s history, we must put the physical and emotional health of our team, clients, vendors and staff first. We are still regularly checking voicemail, so I invite you to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.
