The Blind & Visually Impaired Center of Monterey County Resumes In-Office Operation

The Blind & Visually Impaired Center of Monterey County will resume in-office operations on Monday, July 6, 2020. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, office hours are reduced, and all staff is following state and local health guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Clients who are interested in services are to call 831-649-3505 for more information.

“Following strict state and local health guidelines, and with essential policies in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we can begin offering in-house services to our clients” says Steven Macias, Executive Director. “However, the low-vision optometry clinic, in-person support groups, and weekly classes will remain closed until further notice.” The Blind & Visually Impaired Center of Monterey County will continue to provide bi-monthly support groups via Zoom.

The mission of The Blind & Visually Impaired Center of Monterey County is to empower the blind and visually impaired toward independent living through education, support services and skills training. The Blind & Visually Impaired Center of Monterey County is a 501(c)3 non-profit agency that has provided free or reduced cost services since 1971 to Monterey County residents who are visually impaired.
